Abstract

The present invention provides a method and a system for sharing a vehicle for transportation by using a platform linked to electronic devices. Specifically, the present invention enables the user to use the platform for users register with travel preferences. Also, compliances for financial transaction on point based system are made. Upon receiving requests from the users to share vehicle transportation, wherein the users are of two types, the sever starts matching the user. The users are matched in real time based on their travel path, other preferences and user details and broadcasting the details on the electronic devices of the respective users. Alerts are sent to both the users and unique ID is generated for the shared journey. The travel path is mapped and the journey is ended upon reaching the defined destination and thereafter points are transferred between the users depending upon type of user, travelled distance, location and the like.
